Windows build doesn't play sound or recognize controller input

I have a new Windows 10 laptop. The Windows build of my game runs on it, but no sound is played and it doesn’t recognize any controller input. The OpenGL build of my game runs just fine on the same laptop. Sound is played and the same controller’s input is recognized without issue.

I’m guessing there’s something I need to install on this new laptop (DirectX library, maybe?) in order to get the Windows build working properly. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Would help if you mentioned which MonoGame release you were using, help others help you

But usually OpenAL? no? I think MG moved to something else, cannot recall the name right now…

MonoGame 3.6. I still never found a resolution for this…

Umm, have you tried 3.7.1? or OpenAL?
