Ever watch your gc slowly climb when all your doing is looking at the framerate and think what is causing that? Its not mono-game, its c# itself ! Numbers simply sent to StringBuilder will create garbage even xna / monogame’s charctersource struct, (hack around) doesn’t stop it . This is a FrameRate and gc counter example that uses a class i wrote that bypasses the garbage allocations meaning you don’t get a bunch of collections each second just for text output.
