Monogame randomly cancels Android deploy when building app in Visual Studio

Here’s the error message:
1>------ Build started: Project: Le small game, Configuration: Release Any CPU ------ 1> Le small game -> C:\Users\Marcus Peilot\documents\visual studio 2015\Projects\Le small game\Le small game\bin\Android\AnyCPU\Release\Le small game.dll 2>Please select a valid device before running the application. 2>------ Deploy started: Project: Le small game, Configuration: Release Any CPU ------ 2>Error: Cancelled ========== Build: 1 succeeded or up-to-date, 0 failed, 0 skipped ========== ========== Deploy: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 skipped ==========

This also happens if a virtual device is selected.

Sorry for bumping this old post, but I had the same issue several times before to understand that Visual Studio/Xamarin or ADB (I don’t really now) had some trouble to handle Android app deployment on a real device when I had a running VM (I used Genymotion). If you have some running VMs, make sure to close them and relaunch Visual Studio.
