Does monogame applications require .net to run?

I wonder if I copy my game to my firends, do they have to install .net framework to run this game? or what is required? thanks!

Yes, the .NET framework is required, or the Mono framework. If they’re Windows users, they almost certainly already have the .NET framework installed, though.
