There’s been a lot of talk the past few months over at Gamasutra.com about Flash dying, HTML5 sort of taking it’s place, and Unity’s plugin just not there yet.
So, what’s the deal with MonoGame’s web browser support? I know XNA had Silverlight, but did anyone actually use either for that purpose?
The creators of Bastion (Super Giant Games) got MonoGame working on the web a while back and open sourced the fork of the code. However, I don’t think it’ll work as is.
Please note the Native Client version is least likely to work “out of the box” due to the proprietary nature of the work we had to do there.
Also, there’s been some discussion about making official web support but from what I understand that hasn’t happened yet.
So yeah, maybe you can get it working with a bit of effort but it probably won’t come easy.
