Getting back into some 3d… First up, a new SKY for my little flight sim.
My sky is one shade of blue… I want to make it darker at the top, like a gradient fill, getting lighter towards the horizon.
So I was thinking: What if I draw the inside of a cylinder on a render-target, and then draw that rendertarget behind my terrain-render… The rotation of the cylinder would always match the terrain, except for the axis keeping it diagonal to the plane, and its translation would be from the plane… The texture of the inside of the cylinder would be a gradient fill
Anyone have an opinion on that?
Or maybe just move a d2 gradient texture around on a render target… And use that…?
